The NEC Indoor shot put champion is positioning himself to possibly add an outdoor conference crown to his resume later this spring. Jeffrey, who threw 19.02m to take first place at league’s indoor championship meet, produced the best outdoor mark of his Monmouth career while competing at the George Mason Invitational this past weekend. Easily claiming gold at GMU, Jeffrey, who already owned the top spot on the NEC performance list, put the shot 18.10m (59’ 4.75”). The mark moved Jeffrey up to the No. 24 spot on the NCAA Division I national leader board. The versatile Jeffrey, who captured the 2013 NEC Most Outstanding Field Performer award, also leads the NEC in the discus.
