Vogt continues to cement his status as one of the NEC’s top freshman with his second Rookie of the Week award this spring. Playing up at the #1 spot for the first time this season, Vogt pushed Brown’s Michael Reichmann - who posted a 21-8 singles mark for the Ivy power a year ago - in a 7-5, 6-2 setback on Tuesday. Five days later against Quinnipiac, he rallied from a set down at #2 singles to stop ODU transfer Fahoum Fahoum, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. Vogt went 2-1 in doubles play teaming up with Munir Serin, including an 8-7 win over QU’s Sebastian Barbero and Garrett Lane that helped the Bulldogs secure a 6-1 victory over the perennial NEC contender. Vogt, who hails from Fair Oaks, CA, was named the NEC Player of the Month last October, and has racked up 11 wins in singles and 12 in doubles over the course of the 2012-13 campaign.
