Ross produced a team-best 19.69 frame average while the Red Flash contested the USBC Sectional Championships, and the righty has her second straight NEC Rookie of the Week award as a result. Helping Saint Francis U win three of five matches against NCAA members, including two victories over No. 16 LIU Brooklyn, she accounted for a 768 baker pinfall over the course of 39 frames. The Keystone State product inflicted most of the damage by throwing striles more than half of the time. Ross rolled a team-high 21 strikes in 40 attempts. The righty and fellow rookie Ashley Howe were the lone two Red Flash to start all five of those matches. With Ross’ help, Saint Francis also took down Ursuline while its only losses came at the hands of NEC members Kutztown and Sacred Heart. Ross won the NEC’s rookie award for the first time last week after posting a 206.0 traditional game average at the NEC Spring Meet.
