Thus far, Kelich’s month of March consists of two starts, no runs allowed and two NEC Pitcher of the Week awards.  Bryant’s senior ace carried a perfect game into the sixth inning and did not surrender a hit until the seventh of a 7-0 shutout of Wright State.  Notching his first win of the season (he received a no-decision in his prior start at Oregon State), Kelich completed 7.0 scoreless innings and allowed only four Wright State Raiders to reach base.  The 6-foot-2 right-handed hurler allowed only one hit (a single up the middle in the seventh inning) and walked two batters while striking out six. Kelich retired the first 16 batters he faced until Wright State’s Kieston Greene grounded an 0-2 pitch to shortstop and reached safely on a throwing error.  Kelich proceeded to walk two batters, both on 3-2 pitches, in the inning, but induced a fielder’s choice groundout to leave the bases loaded.  He surrendered a one-out single in the seventh, but retired the next two batters to tie a bow on his outing.  While extending his scoreless streak to 12.0 innings, Kelich upped his career record to 24-8.
