No rookie present at the NEC Spring Meet managed a higher traditional game average (206.0) than Ross over the course of the two-day competition, which unfolded at Strike 10 Lanes in Brooklyn, NY. Leading her team, and finishing seventh on the overall individual leader board, Ross helped the Red Flash to five more league wins. Three of the victories came against opponents who are ranked amongst the top-12 teams in America according to the latest edition of the NTCA Top 20 Poll. Her weekend-high 277 game came during an 87-pin victory over No. 9 Adelphi. She threw a 205 game to help the Red Flash top No. 11 Kutztown, sweeping the NEC season series from the Keystone State rival Golden Bears. Ross opened Sunday’s proceedings by putting forth a 226-pin performance to lead the team in its 1,019-941 triumph over No. 12 Sacred Heart, the defending NEC Tournament champion. Although she left a team-high 17 open frames, Ross was able to off-set those missed opportunities thanks to the fact her strike ball was working well throughout the weekend. She struck at a 58.5 percent clip and her 58 strikes were 15 more than the next highest-ranking Red Flash teammate.
