If Ravelli (10.4 ppg) hopes to lead all NEC freshmen in scoring come season’s end, then she did quite well for herself last week. The Italian-born rookie averaged 16.5 points per contest as Robert Morris hosted both members of the NEC’s Garden State contingent. Accounting for more than one-third of the Colonials’ scoring in the game, Ravelli poured in 21 points and dished out three assists during a two-point overtime defeat to Fairleigh Dickinson on Feb. 23. She made 4 of 6 three-point field goal attempts on her way to exceeding the 20-point mark for the second time as a freshman. Two days later, she scored 12 of Robert Morris’ 48 points in a setback to Monmouth. Ravelli hit a total of six shots from beyond the arc last week. Her 56 three-point makes this season lead all freshmen and rank third overall amongst NEC sharpshooters.
