Lipkins secured a gold medal this past weekend and became the second NEC long jumper to qualify for the ECAC Championships in the process. Working her way up the Northeast Conference leader board, the fourth-year Mountaineer leapt to victory at the George Mason Patriot Games. In addition to topping a 36-entrant field at George Mason, her 5.73m (18’ 9.75”) bound moved her into second place in the NEC. With the conference championships less than two weeks away, only St. Francis Brooklyn’s Dominique Burrus (5.82m) holds a better seed mark.
