Savoy added his name to the list of IC4A Championship qualifiers while competing at the 168th Street Armory in New York City last week. The Fairleigh Dickinson freshman completed the 60m dash at the NYC Gotham Cup in 6.94s. The time, which ranks him third overall on the NEC leader board, is .04 second below the qualifying standard for the annual IC4A Championships in March. Only three other NEC sprinters have achieved the IC4A standard in the 60m thus far this season, and Savoy is the lone rookie of the bunch.
