As the start of Northeast Conference play nears, the preseason all-NEC selection is performing at a high level. The 6-foot forward averaged 23.5 points, 14.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals per contest over two games at the Wright State Invitational. The versatile post player was rather efficient during her 74 minutes on the floor against Florida A&M and Wright State. She made 19 of 33 (.575) field goal attempts, including a 4-for-9 clip from three-point range. Williams dished out four assists and was charged with only four turnovers over the two-game clip in Dayton. Her 27 points and 12 rebounds helped Saint Francis snap a four-game slide with a win over tournament host Wright State. Spearheading the Red flash’s 98-point performance against the Horizon League member, Williams shot 61 percent (11-of-18) from the field and scored a season-high 27 points. She scored 20 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in the Flash’s four-point setback to Florida A&M. Her three-pointer brought Saint Francis to within two with 00:02 remaining, but FAMU sealed the win with a pair of free throws at the other end. The 16-rebound performance was Williams’ second best of the season. She set the NEC’s single-game season high when she pulled down 19 boards at Bucknell back in November.
