Rucker made her fourth consecutive start when Bryant hosted regional rival Maine, and the Bulldogs wound up winners for the fourth game in a row. The rookie guard contributed eight points and eight rebounds to Bryant’s 44-40 win over the Black Bears. Both marks are career highs for Rucker. The 5-foot-11 freshman made 4 of 7 field goal attempts over 24 minutes of action against the America East member. Rucker’s most-recent performance allowed Bryant to maintain possession of the Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week award for the second consecutive week. Freshman center Maureen Leahy won the honor on Dec. 10 after scoring 16 points in an overtime victory over MAAC member Iona.
