Henderson’s hot hand was at the center of Mount St. Mary’s 74-64 road win over Big East Member Seton Hall. Shooting 73 percent from the field, including a 6-for-7 clip from three-point range, Henderson poured in 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the upset victory. The double-double was the second of the season for Henderson who notched 13 points and 12 boards in a win over UMES on Dec. 5. The Mount’s senior guard played the full 40 minutes against Seton Hall. The 5-foot-6 sharp shooter also logged three assists while turning the ball over only once. With the Mountaineers carrying a 64-59 lead into the final 1:30 of regulation, Henderson helped salt away the victory. She grabbed a defensive rebound with 1:26 left and proceeded to hit a pair of free throws that extended the lead to seven. Twenty seconds later, she secured another carom on the defensive end and followed by bumping the Mount’s advantage to nine points with two more free throws. The 27 points stand as Henderson’s second-highest single-game output this season. She poured in 30 points, including the game-winning hoop, against Rider in November.
