Selmquist’s success from the cross country season has carried over into the indoor track & field arena. Sacred Heart’s senior captain was the top collegiate finisher in the 3,000-meter run at the Harvard University Open. Selmquist completed the race in a personal-best 9:57.53 and instantly became the NEC event leader as a result. In addition to leading the rest of the Northeast Conference by a healthy margin, Selmquist’s 3K time makes her an automatic qualifier for the ECAC Championships. Selmquist, who was the runner-up at the 2012 NEC Women’s XC Championship this past October, sits 13th amongst all NCAA Division I leaders thanks to her indoor 3K mark.
