McEwan averaged well over 20.0 pins per frame for the second week in a row and retained the NEC Bowler of the Week honor as a result. Fairleigh Dickinson’s senior anchor posted a 21.50 frame average over the course of 13 matches at the UMES Hawk Classic. Helping the Knights to a 9-4 record on the weekend, McEwan filled 114 of 126 frames bowled. She struck on 50 percent of her chances and converted 82.4 percent of spare opportunities. The Team USA member helped the Knights achieve a remarkable feat during the baker play portion of the three-day event as she anchored a lineup that bowled only the fifth perfect baker game in NCAA history. The Knights’ 300 game came in quad baker match victory over MEAC member Norfolk State. During the five-match traditional team portion of the meet, McEwan accounted for the fourth highest game average (220.6) amongst all individuals in the 18-team field that featured six of the eight NCAA Tournament qualifiers from last April. The fourth-year Knight bowled a 211 game against Valpo and followed with a 245-pin performance against Central Missouri, two teams that joined FDU at the 2012 NCAA Championships. She turned in a 242 game in a victory over NEC rival St. Francis Brooklyn. Her 209-pin effort helped the Knights to a 96-pin triumph over Morgan State.
