Williams ushered in her junior season by recording a double-double against two-time defending MEAC champion Howard Bison. The preseason all-NEC forward played all 40 minutes of Saint Francis’ 69-61 victory over a team that went 24-9 last year and was tabbed as its conference’s 2013 preseason favorite. She tallied 20 points, 12 rebounds and five steals. Williams shot well from both the field and the free throw line. She sank 7 of 12 field goal tries and accounted for a 6-for-7 clip from the charity stripe. The NEC’s leading returning scorer from one year ago, Williams was one of five players to hit the 20-point mark in the season opener.
