SanGiacomo came off the bench in the second quarter of Saturday’s game against Saint Francis (PA) and sparked the Blue Devils to the tune of 240 yards of total offense. The redshirt-freshman quarterback went 8-of-14 passing for 212 yards and one touchdown in Central’s comeback victory. He added 28 yards rushing in five carries. SanGiacomo biggest play of the day, a 73-yard touchdown pass, came only 29 seconds after Josh Thiel gave Saint Francis a 23-22 lead on a 50-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound signal caller entered the game with 14:13 remaining in the second quarter and went 3-for-3 passing for 53 yards on his first drive, which ended with a five-yard TD run by Rob Hollomon.
