Wright wasted no time in staking Wagner to a lead in its Week 9 win over Robert Morris. The sophomore running back received the game’s opening kickoff at his 10-yard line, cut right and raced 90 yards to a touchdown. The play, which was Wright’s second kickoff return for a touchdown this season, put Wagner on track to claim its fifth consecutive Northeast Conference victory, which allowed the Seahawks to remain within one-half game of first-place Albany. Wight currently ranks third amongst all kick returners in Division I FCS, averaging 35.5 yards per kickoff return.
