Monmouth scored seven goals over the course of its two-game Nutmeg State sweep, and Schoenfeld had a hand in five of those tallies. The sophomore forward totaled six points (1G, 4A) in the Hawks’ NEC road victories over Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart. After assisting on Monmouth’s second goal in a 3-0 shutout of the Bobcats, Schoenfeld recorded a single-game program record three assists two days later at Sacred Heart. The second-year Hawk flew out of the gate against the Pioneers and helped Monmouth build a 2-0 lead before the game was five minutes old. First, Schoenfeld sent a crossing pass that Michelle Pieczynski one-timed into the cage 2:47 into the contest. Only 1:26 later, Schoenfeld beat the SHU keeper for a goal of her own and was far from done. After SHU rallied to tie the game at 2-2, Schoefeld set up Pieczynski again in the 48th minute on what was the eventual game-winning goal. She added a “Gretzky” assist on the Hawks’ insurance tally in the 62nd minute.
