Junior Joseph Schmid scored one goal and handed out two assists as the Monmouth Hawks stretched their winning streak to three games with back-to-back NEC road wins last week. In a make-up game at Quinnipiac on Thursday, the Villanova transfer set up teammate Alex Weidman for the Hawks’ second of three goals in a 3-0 win over the Bobcats. He then set up another score, the game-winner by Ryan Clark, following his third goal of the season in a 2-1 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday. Thanks to his four-point performance, Schmid now ranks second on the team in scoring with eight points made up of three goals and two assists.
