Sexton helped LIU Brooklyn extend its unbeaten streak to five matches with 13 saves over two matches, including nine in a shutout victory over Sacred Heart on Sunday. Sexton tallied five stops in the first half and four in the second as the Blackbirds secured a critical victory in their quest for their eighth straight Northeast Conference Tournament appearance. The junior also played a big role in LIU Brooklyn’s 1-1 tie with Monmouth on Friday, coming in at halftime and stopping four shots, while not allowing a goal the last 65 minutes of action.
