Schneider provided the heroics in Rider’s NEC opener at Robert Morris. The senior forward bailed out the Broncs when she scored the game-winning goal 2:58 into overtime. It was Schneider’s second tally of the game and it quelled Robert Morris’ comeback bid, which saw the Colonials score three unanswered goals to erase a 4-1 second-half deficit and force the extra session. Schneider gave Rider a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute of the eventual 5-4 victory, scoring on a breakaway that was spawned by a nice pass from Eefje Kok. Schneider totaled five points and 11 shots during last week’s schedule, which also included a mid-week setback at Ivy League member Columbia. Schneider set up the game’s first goal and took five shots in the eventual 3-2 non-conference loss.
