Quinnipiac’s Philip Suprise became the first NEC player to net a hat trick this season when he scored three times in a 3-1 win over Lafayette, capping off a 2-0-0 week for the Bobcats and earning a share of the NEC Player of the Week award. He scored twice in the first half and added an insurance tally in the second to complete the first three-goal effort since Zoncher Dennis of Mount St. Mary’s blasted four in a win over La Salle last year. Suprise, who finished the week with seven points thanks to an assist in a 2-1 win over Holy Cross, ranks first on the team in scoring with seven points and is tied for the top spot in the league with Monmouth’s Francois “Paco” Navarro.
