Monmouth’s Francois “Paco” Navarro scored two goals and totaled six points to help the Hawks go 2-0-1 in the second week of the season and earn a share of this week’s NEC Player of the Week honor. Kicking off the week against 2011 NCAA Tournament Participant Providence, Navarro orchestrated the offense with two goals and an assist all within a span of six minutes and 22 seconds to lead the Hawks to a 3-1 come-from-behind victory. He then dished out a helper in a 2-0 blanking of Garden State foe Rider. Thanks to his six-point effort, Navarro now leads the team with seven points and places in a tie for first in the conference with Quinnipiac’s Philip Suprise.
