Juhring set the Mount St. Mary’s record in the javelin while competing at the Colonials Relays, which were hosted by William & Mary, this past weekend. The first-year Mountaineer threw the implement 44.29m (145’ 4”) to earn a silver medal at the meet and take over the NEC lead in the process. Juhring’s record-setting toss makes her a contender for the conference crown come May. Last year, Monmouth senior Mary Wilks claimed gold with a throw of 44.88m. Although the season is still young, Juhring currently ranks ahead of Robert Morris sophomore Rachel Kotula who finished second at the 2011 NEC title meet with a toss of 44.43m.
