Fuglistahler made two appearances last week and posted a 0.44 WHIP (walks-hit/IP) to show for them. The LIU Brooklyn lefty threw a total of 9.0 innings in games against Saint Peter’s and NEC rival Wagner, surrendering only one run, three hits, and one walk during his time on the hill. Fuglistahler was the winning pitcher in the Blackbirds’ 16-1 win over Wagner during the second half of Saturday’s doubleheader. The rookie southpaw went the distance, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while fanning six batters. The triumphant start came only days after Fuglistahler came out of the bullpen against MAAC member Saint Peter’s. After the Peahens pushed across three first-inning runs, Fuglistahler started a string of 8.0 straight scoreless frames from LIU relievers. The 5-foot-10 lefty threw 2.0 innings of one-hit relief, retiring the first four batters he faced before surrendering a double.
