Dorado’s heavy bat helped FDU take three wins during their Western-Pennsylvania road trip over the weekend. The freshman went 7-for-14 (.500) in five games and posted five RBIs to raise her season average to .356. In the first game of a doubleheader with Robert Morris, the right fielder/first baseman went one-for-two with a walk and a run scored and followed it up with another hit and an RBI, but Dorado was just getting warmed up. On Monday against Saint Francis (PA) the California native went three-for-four in game one with a three-run blast to seal the Knight’s 9-3 victory. In game two she went two-for-three with another RBI in the one-run 3-2 win for FDU.
