Santillo went 8-for-16 at the plate, drove in six runs and tallied the first three extra base hits of her career, including two home runs, to lead Robert Morris to a 3-1 start in league play while playing two road doubleheaders. Santillo started things off by notching an opposite-field ground rule double in her first NEC plate appearance against LIU Brooklyn Saturday to start a three-run rally in an 8-2 RMU victory. In the nightcap, the freshman went 2-for-4 including a bases-loaded single to lead the Colonials to a 10-3 win. The catcher added more power at the plate on Sunday in a doubleheader split with Wagner (W 4-3, L 8-7) as she tallied five combined hits, featuring her two home runs. In her first at-bat against the Seahawks she drilled a two-run shot to left to give the Colonials the lead. Then with two outs and two runners on in the top of the eighth, Santillo delivered the game-winning RBI when she lined a sharp single to center, marking her first-career three-RBI game. But the freshman wasn’t done yet as she tallied the first three-hit game of her career and added two RBIs in the last game on the day. With the Colonials down by two runs in the seventh with two outs and a runner on base, Santillo drilled a clutch, two–run homer to center to keep the game alive. The Ellwood City, PA native hit .500 and posted a .938 slugging percentage on the week, and also registered three multi-hit games. She had five two-out RBIs and was 6-for-9 with runners on base.
