Junior attackman Andrew Scalley scored two goals and dished out five assists to lead Mount St. Mary’s to its third win of the season, a 15-6 victory over Michigan, and earn this week’s NEC Offensive Player of the Week honor. Racking up a career-high seven points, Scalley played a role in the offense in each quarter. He handed out an assist on Anthony Golden’s goal with three seconds remaining in the first quarter before helping out on two others in the second. The Arnold, MD native then scored once and assisted on another in both the third and fourth quarters. He also finished the game with six ground balls. The seven-point outing marked the fourth by an NEC player this season, and it pushed Scalley’s season point total to 20, ranking him sixth in points per game (2.86) in the league.
