Vizenfeld began her rookie season a few weeks late, but has been a force ever since being inserted into National No. 1 Fairleigh Dickinson’s lineup. This past weekend, she led the team in filled frame percentage (.910) at Vanderbilt’s Music City Classic. Averaging 19.33 pins per frame over the course of the three-day tournament, Vizenfeld helped the Knights secure a third-place finish behind only perennial national powers Nebraska and Arkansas State. Although her 189.2 traditional game average was fourth-best on the team, Vizenfeld led the way during the baker play portion of the meet. The first-year Knight totaled a 1,668 pinfall over 85 baker frames bowled (19.6 FA). Vizenfeld’s efforts helped push FDU past No. 9 Sam Houston State and No. 7 Central Missouri during Sunday’s best-of-seven baker format. Her .860 spare percentage was a key reason why she left only 13 open frames the entire weekend.
