Hurd opened her outdoor season by producing a sprint double that has her ranked atop the NEC performance list in both events. The third-year Red Flash sprinter clocked in at 12.10s in the 100m dash at the Wake Forest Open to set a personal best with what ranks as the third-fastest time in program history. The time stands only .02 second shy of the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships. Hurd completed the 200m dash in 25.17s, a mark that makes her the early NEC leader, but stands fractions of a second off the ECAC mark. The 200m performance was .20 second shy of Hurd’s PR.
