Hart’s heroics at the NEC Spring Meet has landed LIU Brooklyn back in the postseason for the second year in a row. The Blackbirds’ anchor bowler spearheaded the 7-2 record that moved the team from last into seventh place in the conference standings, which feature eight of the nation’s top-20 teams according to the latest NTCA Coaches’ Poll. As she has done for much of her freshman campaign, Hart averaged in excess of 19.0 pins per frame at what was the third of three NEC-sponsored regular season meets. Her 190.22 game average over the coursae of nine traditional team matches ranked 12th overall on the individual leader board. Hart was at her best as LIU went 4-0 during the second half of the two-day event. Her team-high 213-pin effort powered LIU past No. 16 Adelphi. She also shot a team best against Brooklyn rival St. Francis (NY), bowling a 200 in a 936-882 triumph. Hart filled 82.2 percent of frames bowled over the nine-match meet and struck on 46.4 percent of her attempts.
