Sipala continued his strong play in the first month of spring competition with a 5-2 singles mark. His 6-3, 6-2 win at the #6 position over Colgate’s Connor Feuille helped lead the Bulldogs to a 4-3 victory over the Raiders to begin the season back in late January. He went on to defeat Buffalo’s Alex Kalinin (7-5, 6-1) and Villanova’s Mark Miller (6-2, 2-6, 6-3) at #6, before moving up to post a #5 flight victory over BU’s Alex Hallenbeck (7-5, 6-1) and a #4 flight triumph against Hartford’s Alex Holdsten (6-2, 6-2). With an 11-5 record, Sipala ranks second on the Bulldogs in wins over the course of the 2011-12 campaign.
