Freshman Kevin Massa continued his mastery in the faceoff department last weekend, winning 13 of his 25 attempts taken and gobbling up seven ground balls as the Bulldogs defeated Vermont, 15-8. Following a 5-for-11 performance in the first half, Massa exploded in the third by going 5-for-8 from X and giving his team the opportunities to manufacture a five-goal run, eventually putting the game out of reach. Through just four games, the rookie leads the conference in both faceoff percentage (.581) and ground balls per game (7.00).
