Hayward put forth a pair of double-digit scoring efforts that helped Saint Francis (PA) bounce back from the Rivalry Week sweep it suffered at the hands of Robert Morris. Upping her scoring average to 11.4 points per game in NEC play, a mark that ranks third amongst the league’s rookies, Hayward scored 26 points over 51 minutes of floor time in victories over Bryant and Central Connecticut. Hayward, a key cog in an offensive unit that averaged 85.5 points per game last week, hit a trio of three-pointers in the midst of an 11-point performance against Bryant on NEC-TV. Two days, later, the 5-foot-8 freshman guard scored 15 points and grabbed four rebounds in an 86-83 double-overtime win over CCSU.
