Hart has been hot since the start of the season’s second half and picked up a second straight NEC Rookie of the Week award to show for it. Posting the highest overall frame average (19.78) by a NEC rookie at the 28-team Kutztown University Invitational, Hart was a key reason why LIU Brooklyn finished in the top half of team standings at what was the most-attended competition of the NCAA season. The Blackbirds compiled a 10-5 win-loss record as Hart filled 127 of 147 (.871) frames bowled throughout the course of the three-day event that welcomed 16 of the nation’s top-20 ranked teams. Hart cashed in on nearly 50 percent of her strike opportunities, throwing a team-high 98 strikes in 198 attempts (.494). The first-year Blackbird was consistent through both traditional and baker play. Her 197.67 six-game traditional average is not far off of the 19.8 pins per baker frame she contributed. Hart was especially effective on the tournament’s opening day, which consisted of six four-game baker matches. She averaged 20.2 pins per frame on the day as LIU opened the tournament with six consecutive victories. One day later, Hart was a key contributor in a pair of traditional team games wins over NTCA Top 20 programs. After helping the Blackbirds to a four-pin win over No. 18 Wisconsin-Whitewater, Hart bowled posted a 211-pin performance in a 970-884 triumph over No. 12 Delaware State.
