Sophomore forward Louis Montes averaged 24.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in leading Sacred Heart to a pair of wins over in-state conference foes Quinnipiac and Central Connecticut last week at home. His career-bests didn’t’ stop there, either, as he recorded his first double-double of the season in the Pioneers’ one-point win, 62-61, over Central Connecticut on Saturday. The Brockton, MA native netted 21 points and pulled down 14 rebounds against the Blue Devils, who were outrebounded 41-35 for the game. For the week, Montes shot 51.6% from the field and a blistering 62.5% from downtown (5-for-8).
