Jean-Louis broke the 8-second barrier in the 60-meter hurdles for the third time in as many tries this season. The senior hurdler blew past the field at the 30th annual Yale Intercollegiate Classic by finishing the race in 7.96s. Although it is slightly off his seasonal best (7.92), which leads the Northeast Conference and the New England region, Jean-Louis’ winning time at Yale was under the NEC Championship record (7.98) that he himself set at the 2011 NEC Indoor title meet. The 7.96 hurdle time would be good enough for 23rd on the NCAA Division I leader board, but the fourth-year Pioneer already sits 17th in the nation by virtue of his performance at the Harvard Open back in December.
