LaRose rang in the New Year by producing the fastest 200-meter time the NEC has seen thus far this season. The Red Flash sprinter crossed the line in 24.91s at the Penn State Indoor Relays to win her heat ahead of UMBC’s Briana Young and Pittsburgh’s Amanda Kuhl. Her time, which was good enough for seventh out of 48 finishers, came in 0.13 second under the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships in March. It also stands as a significant improvement of the 25.73 she ran at the 2011 NEC Indoor Championships.
