Matakevich accounted for quite a day at the Harvard University Open. Accounting for program record-setting marks, she shot out to the NEC lead in both horizontal jumps. Reaching a distance no shorter than 5.55m (18’ 2.5”) in any of her long jump attempts, Matakevich went as far as 5.81m (19 0.75”) to easily top the field at Harvard by more than one foot. Contesting the triple jump later in the day, Matakevich excelled again. Besting her season-opening mark by 40 centimeters, the veteran Pioneer registered a 12.00m (39’ 4.5”) leap. Both her triple and long jump marks rank Matakevich amongst the top-20 performers in all of NCAA Division I.
