Williams turned in back-to-back 25-point efforts to carry injury-riddled Saint Francis (PA) to its first two wins of the season last week. The sophomore forward averaged a double-double in victories over Akron and Bucknell, supplying 25.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 4.5 steals per contest. The 6-foot Williams shot 55 percent (16-of-29) from the floor and 85 percent (17-of-20) from the charity stripe. With the Flash trailing by one in overtime at Akron, Williams drew a foul with 00:04 remaining and calmly sunk the two subsequent free throws to lift the two-time defending NEC champions to their first win of the season. Williams victimized the Zips for 25 points, eight rebounds, and five steals over 42 minutes of floor time. She was 10-of-11 from the line in what was the third win by a NEC program over a Mid-American Conference member in three tries. Williams kept her hot hand as the Flash capped Thanksgiving Week by hosting Bucknell. The Keystone State product accounted for a double-double, her first of the season, of 25 points and 14 rebounds in a 70-53 triumph over the Patriot League member.
