Not only was Stanford wreaking havoc on the defensive front in the Seahawks’ 44-29 road win over Monmouth, but he made a game-changing play on special teams as well. The senior linebacker produced a pivotal punt block that resulted in a second-quarter touchdown. With the game tied at 14 apiece and Monmouth punting from its own 37-yard line, Stanford broke through and stuffed the kick. Jeremiah Brown eventually scooped up the ball at the Hawks’ 22-yard line and took it in for the go-ahead score with 6:46 left before halftime. The Seahawks led the remainder of the game on the way to the third consecutive victory in the NEC’s Outer Bridge rivalry series. Stanford, who finished with six tackles, later returned an interception, his third of the season, 37 yards for a fourth-quarter score in the 44-29 victory.
