King was the leading receiver in a 41-24 road triumph that moved UAlbany within one victory of securing the NEC’s automatic bid to the NCAA FCS playoffs. Writing another chapter in what has been a breakout rookie campaign, the 6-foot-1 redshirt freshman made four catches for 84 yards as the Danes defeated Monmouth at the Jersey Shore to move to 6-1 in league play. All four of King’s catches went for first downs and two of them paved the way for touchdowns on the following play. King caught his first pass of the day, a 32-yard gain that set Albany up with a 1st-and-Goal from Monmouth’s 1-yard line, with the Danes trailing 3-0 late in the first quarter. After Monmouth went back in front 10-7, King struck again. The rookie receiver converted a 2nd-and-6 with a 13-yard catch and the Danes again went onto reach pay dirt on the very next play. King also converted a 2-and-12 with a 19-yard reception and registered a 20-yard gain on a 3rd-and-7 early in the fourth quarter.
