Turczynski has competed in two team tournaments at the collegiate level and has a pair of NEC Rookie of the Week awards to show for her performances. The Peahens strung together 11 consecutive victories on their way to a 12-1 record at the Elizabeth City State Beach Open and Turczynski was right in the middle of the effort. Helping Saint Peter’s to a third-place finish at the three-day event hosted in Kill Devil Hills, NC, Turczynski accounted for a team-high 19.16 frame average. The New Jersey native filled 113 of 128 frames bowled (.869) over the course of the entire tournament. One of two Peahens to complete in all six of the team’s traditional matches, Turczynski posted a 185.5 game average that was a little more than one pin under the team-leading mark turned in by senior Amanda Borger. Saint Peter’s suffered its only loss in to eventual tournament winner UAB (Alabama-Birmingham) in best-of-seven championship baker play but the NEC Rookie of the Week helped the Peahens rebound to win the third-place bout against North Carolina Central, which was coming off a first-place finish at the early-season Hampton Roads Tournament. Turczynski averaged 19.7 pins per baker frame, filling 91.7 percent of the 68 frames she bowled during that portion of the meet.
