Bannon picked up a pair of wins to help the Blackbirds claim the second seed in this weekend’s NEC Championship, and in the process claimed her third adidas/NEC Defensive Player of the Week nod. The Rhode Island native stopped two shots and allowed only one goal in a 4-1 win over Saint Francis (PA) on Friday night, then posted four stops in a 4-0 shutout of Robert Morris in 70 minutes of work.
