Cooney notches her first career NEC Swimmer of the Week nod following three first place finishes at the Seahawks’ dual meet with conference foe Mount St. Mary’s. The sophomore opened up the meet with a distance victory in the 800 freestyle with a time of 9:31.63, and followed up by notching wins in both the 50 and 100 freestyle events with times of 28.39 and 1:00.74, respectively. Cooney’s finishes helped the Seahawks to their second straight dual meet victory.
