Freshman Kalle Sotka provided the knockout punch early as Monmouth defeated Quinnipiac, 2-0, at home over the weekend, earning adidas/NEC Co-Rookie of the Week honors for his efforts. The Helsinki, Finland product cashed in his team-leading fourth goal of the season, the eventual game-winner, when Ryan Clark one-touched a ball to the rookie for a quick shot inside the six-yard box. Sotka now ranks second on the team in scoring with four goals and 10 points for the now-first-place Hawks.
