Di Lella engineered the Great Danes’ 473-yard offensive output that led to a fourth consecutive victory, including the third in NEC play. The senior signal caller, who has passed for 10 touchdowns to only two interceptions during the four-game surge, threw for a career-high 279 yards and matched his career best with three touchdown passes in a 28-17 win over Robert Morris. The 6-foot-5 senior quarterback threw three first-half scoring strikes in staking Albany to a 21-0 advantage in what was a battle of NEC unbeatens. Di Lella completed 20 of 30 pass attempts on his way to the highest single-game passing total that Albany has seen in three years. Di Lella, who also logged 10 yards rushing, opened the game’s scoring by firing a 44-yard TD strike to Cole King. Later in the opening quarter, he tossed a 9-yard scoring pass to Nick Hutcherson. Di Lella made it 21-0 in favor of the Danes when he found Ryan Kirchner for a 27-yard touchdown pass on what was a broken play.
