McNiff notches the first adidas/NEC Defensive Player of the Week nod of her career after she made a critical defensive save in the opening minutes of Friday’s 2-1 win over NEC rival Monmouth to set the tone for the remainder of the match. The All-NEC defender was part of the Red Flash backfield that held Monmouth to its lowest goal total against an NEC team this season. She then played a role in the Red Flash’s’ 2-0 shutout win over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday. In addition to her defensive prowess, McNiff also displayed her offensive talents against the Mount as she headed in her first career goal from five yards out for the game winner.
