McKibben, the reigning NEC Player of the Year, picks up her third adidas/NEC Player of the week honor of the fall after notching three points in the Red Flash’s 2-1 win over previously undefeated Monmouth Friday afternoon. McKibben posted her first point of the day when she assisted on teammate Barbara Maros de Carvalho’s goal, but it was her game-winning marker in the 85th minute that was her shining moment. In the waning minutes of a tie game, the junior floated a shot in from 20 yards out into the corner of the net. It marked the Pennsylvania native’s 10th tally of the season and 24th of her career. McKibben is now tied for first place in the league for points, averaging 1.71 per game. She also took five shots in the Red Flash’s 2-0 win over Mount St. Mary’s to help the team to a 2-0 weekend and sole possession of first place.
