The freshman posted a .410 hitting clip, highlighted by a .667 percentage during Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Quinnipiac. The California native began the week by recording eight kills and a career-high eight digs in a three-game win against Army, while swinging at a .353 clip. Young’s serve was also critical in SHU’s sweep of the Black Knights, as the Pioneers rattled off five straight points off Young’s serve during the open set. The right side hitter also posted six kills and two blocks in Sacred Hearts’ 3-0 win over St. Francis (NY).
