Bowen earns his second NEC Rookie of the Week honor and first career NEC Athlete of the Week honor after his performance at last weekend’s Paul Short 8K Invitational. The freshman was the first to cross the line for Monmouth, recording a time of 26:10, good enough for 19th overall at the highly competitive meet, which featured a pool of 382 runners. Bowen, who has been a top-finisher for the Hawks all season, led the team to a 24th place finish overall.
